Users have immediate access to all levels of every artist and track available in the game and can show off their TapStar ™ skills to their friends as well as compete for highscores.
TapStar™ will give users the ability to play along with and sample a variety of Sony Music Entertainment’s recordings, and then, from the game, link to purchase downloads of those recordings and other Sony Music repertoire in one seamless, easy process in Apple’s iTunes Music Store.
With its unique landscape view layout, TapStar™ offers gamers a natural controller feel to navigate the four touchpoints in the corners of the screen. By increasing the player’s agility with all four corners, TapStar™’s functionality facilitates additional complexity to rhythmic patterns and combos. Meanwhile, TapStar™’s powerful gaming engine, combined with its high resolution and smooth graphics, offer gamers an accurate playback experience that never loses a beat.
There are 4 different difficulty settings for each level: Rookie, Amateur, Pro, and TapStar. Try things on Rookie mode to get used to the new ergonomic controls and work your way up to TapStar! Each level is hand-crafted to give you an exciting experience which brings the beats of the songs alive in your hand. You'll actually feel like your fingers are dancing along with the music!
Scoring is based on tapping accuracy and multipliers. The more notes in a row your fingers dance correctly to, the more points you will receive exponentially. In the end, your skills are judged by misses, longest streak, and overall accuracy!
